Send & Confirm

Send

Once your email is properly composed, you can send your email like any other by using your normal email client.

Confirm

The HelpDesk system will be sending you a confirmation email within about one minute. The sender of the confirmation email will be the name of your ticket queue. So, if you sent your email to the Recommendations queue. Then, the reply will appear to come from Recommendations.

Please be aware that confirmation emails from the HelpDesk server may be treated as junk mail by your email client. If you can't find the confirmation email in your inbox within about one minute, check the junk folder in your email client. If you do find the confirmation email in your junk folder, remember to configure your email client to stop treating these emails as junk (for Microsoft email, see this article ).

When you do receive the confirmation email, it will contain a link that you can follow to a page in the HelpDesk system that will display your ticket. Navigating to this page is not required. Receipt of the confirmation email is sufficient evidence that your ticket has been created. If you choose to use the link to navigate to your ticket page, you won't need to login to the system to display the ticket. Privacy is maintained by the URL of the ticket being encoded. Please be careful about sharing copies of emails from the helpdesk system with other people. Anyone with a copy of the ticket link has access to your ticket. Your ticket will remain private provided that you don't share the link.
